The Portuguese Innovation Agency invited a group of Portuguese mathematicians to participate in an innovation boot camp, an event that brought together academia and industry in a day of work in which, together, innovative solutions to various business challenges were identified.
The challenges presented by the companies were very diverse, from “Advanced composting in the poultry industry” (presented by UniOvo) to “Irrigation management in agricultural production” (presented by Veracruz) and “Application of artificial intelligence for agronomic recognition” (presented by Termovigo).
Mathematicians had the opportunity to strengthen and create contacts for the development of projects together with industry and companies were able to learn about the potential of mathematics as a driver for innovation.
