International Polytechnic Summer School 2017: Go deeper in Math!
THIS POST IS DEDICATED TO INTERNATIONAL POLYTECHNIC SUMMER SCHOOL AT SPbPU.
We have already posted the information about our Summer school (you can find it here), and in this post we are willing to share the NEW information.
Every summer we host around 500 international students from different countries. We offer a big variety of courses, and you may choose any courses you want. Let us put you into picture briefly!
Mechanics in Natural Science & Technology
Here will be introduced the modern problems of theoretical and applied mechanics.
During the Program the students are to listen to lectures delivered by the specialists in the respective fields, attend seminars and gain practical skills in theoretical and applied mechanics.
Young scientists’ school-conference “Modern Ways in Mechanics” provides transfer of scientific experience from well-known scientists to their young colleagues.
Introduction to Plasma Physics and Controlled Nuclear Fusion
Do you want to learn more about controlled nuclear fusion? Then this course is for you!
Get a unique opportunity to go deeper into physics and enjoy staying in the most beautiful city of Russia!
The primary objective of the course is to present the fundamentals of plasma physics particularly highlighting high-temperature plasma physics and its applications to controlled fusion.
Polymers for Biomedicine and Electronics
The program combines the fundamentals of the polymer science and up-to-date information on polymeric materials. Special attention is paid to the applications of polymers in microelectronics, organic electronics, biology and medicine. The course includes lectures, seminars and lab practice.
Sustainable Development in Civil Engineering
Our new summer module “Sustainable Development in Civil Engineering” is entirely carried out in English by visiting professors from leading universities such as City University of London, University of Sao-Paolo, TU Graz and is designed for those who are willing to update and expand their knowledge.
The program covers the following issues: decision making in sustainable development; sustainable cities and sustainable buildings: a new approach to 21st century; maintenance management of buildings as the cornerstone for sustainability of built environment; sustainable building project development and construction sites.
The School provides the unique opportunity to attend intensive academic program, which is composed of different lectures in nuclear engineering with experience from professors of European countries, with different opinions and approach. All studies are developed accordingly to the European requirements and can be recognized as a period abroad.
Our students are to get practical skills in modeling of different modes of nuclear power plant (will be used specialized software), open lectures on the base of our industrial partner Rosenergoatom, the branch of “Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant” / State Atomic Corporation “Rosatom” / Central Institute for Advanced Studies of State Atomic Corporation “Rosatom” and have deep knowledge in nuclear engineering, technologies, legislation, and innovations in Russian Federation and abroad.
Reconfigurable Microelectronic Devices, State-of-Art Tools and Verilog Programming Language
The course provides students with comprehensive introduction to FPGA architecture, FPGA design flow and tools, Verilog Hardware description Language, FPGA programming and debugging. Lectures and labs will be provided to introduce state-of-art tools and techniques needed to implement digital designs on FPGA platforms.
Architecture and Civil Engineering
The outstanding summer school “Architecture and Civil Engineering” is entirely carried out in English and is cut out for those who are keen on architecture and design solutions. Staying in our charming city with its marvelous architecture would be of a great value and contribution to this course. The program covers the following issues: building information modeling, visualization and computer design, Russian civilization and architecture, Russian language (optional).
This course describes the fundamental theory of enterprise resource planning systems and shows how the basic business processes interact with the SAP ERP in different functional areas.
After the course has been completed students will be able to: understand the integration of business processes in SAP ERP; understand the architecture of In-memory computing; learn how SAP HANA provides new ERP analytical capabilities. There will be e-learning, exercises and self-tests as well. There is an option to take a course of the Russian language.
Also we offer up-to-date and real life modules in different fields of studies: engineering, energy, technology, physics, life science, IT, design, business and management, Russian language and culture. You may choose any courses you want, which suit your personal interests!
