We are pleased to announce that the Italian Society of Applied and Industrial Mathematics (SIMAI) and the “Ulisse Dini” Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Florence (DIMAI) have organized a commemorative day entitled “Mario Primicerio, Man of Science and Man of Peace”.
The event will take place on June 19, 2026, one year after his passing, in the Sala D’Arme at Palazzo Vecchio, Florence.
The program includes several contributions reflecting the diverse facets of Primicerio’s life: as a man of science, a great innovator, a man of peace, and a Mayor. This event aims to honor Mario Primicerio not only for his scientific achievements and technology transfer activities but also for his political and social commitment, which he always interpreted as a service to the common good.
There is no registration fee, but registration is mandatory.
