We offer you a nice combination of taking studies seriously in our smart University and having fun in our charming city! Polytechnic Summer and Winter schools allow foreign and Russian students to dig into the atmosphere of international environment that let them to get new links and friends from all over the world.
Currently we offer English-taught summer and winter courses in field of IT, energy technology, civil engineering, design, physics, business and management, Russian studies.
Outstanding professors from SPbPU and parnter institutions (Polytechnic University of Milan, Imperial College London, Czech Technical University in Prague, etc.) will challenge you to explore the theme and increase your knowledge of the subject.
Study methods emphasize student’s active participation and involvement. Thus, module of graphic design is held in a real design studio, 3D design students make real projects using 3D printers, participants of civil engineering modules have workshops with an expert in BIM technologies and receive additional Autodesk certificate.
Case studies from subject experts (Autodesk, Rosatom, GonzoDesign), group discussions, field trips and study visits (tokamak laboratories, Baltika brewery, Hyundai motors, FabLab Polytech) are an integral part of the learning process in addition to lectures.
University administration and Russian tutors will make the stay of visiting students pleasant, comfortable and safe, and will help them to settle in and explore St.Petersburg through cultural activities. Boat trip through the Neva River unite all the international students together, excursions to the Hermitage and marvelous St.Petersburg surroundings acquaint its participants with history of Russian royal families and luxury palace residences, picnic at the shore of the Finnish Gulf tightens new international connections.
SPbPU international students are provided with the accommodation in a two-room apartment with shared facilities and kitchen in the comfortable student dormitory.
All the summer and winter school modules are developed according to the European requirements and can be recognized as a period abroad. Upon successful completion of the course students receive SPbPU certificate with courses, ECTS credits and grades specification.
