Hawassa University, Ethiopia and the Department of Mathematical Sciences at NTNU (IMF) have during the last decade cooperated in establishing MSc- and Phd-Programmes in Math&Stat in Ethiopia. The initiative is funded by Norad – and the Project will end in 2019.

The Conference has attracted prominent Key Note Lecturers in statistics and applied mathematics, and offers an unique opportunity for combining science and Africa-experience.
