The Conference focuses on various aspects of mathematical modelling and usage of numerical methods in modern problems of science and engineering. It aims, in particular, to foster cooperation among various specialists in this field. Working language of the Conference is English.

Abstracts and Proceedings

Authors should submit abstracts before March 15, 2016 by e-mail to mma2016@ut.ee. Instructions and the style file for the preparation of the abstracts are available at http://www.ut.ee/mma2016. Selected papers of the conference will be published in the Vol.22 of “Mathematical Modelling and Analysis” (The Baltic Journal on Mathematical Applications, Numerical Analysis and Differential Equations), http://inga.vgtu.lt/~art/. All papers will be peer-reviewed according to standard rules of the journal.

Place

The conference will take place in the conference-center of the hotel “Dorpat” http://www.dorpat.ee/Welcome in the center of Tartu. In the hotel “Dorpat” we have booked rooms with reduced price (60 EUR for a single room, 75 EUR for a double room) for the participants of the conference. In three additional hotels “Tartu” http://www.tartuhotell.ee/en (about 200 m from “Dorpat”), “Starest” http://www.starest.ee/ (2.9 km from “Dorpat”, 10 minutes by bus)  and “Kantri” http://www.kantri.ee/en/ (4.7 km from “Dorpat”, 20 minutes by bus) we have booked rooms with the following prices: single room for   50, 35 and 32 EUR, respectively; double room for 68, 42 and 44 EUR, respectively. Hotel “Starest” proposes additionally rooms for 3 persons for 56 EUR. The reservations will hold until April 1. For booking the room please send the e-mail to the corresponding hotel info@dorpat.ee, sales@tartuhotell.ee, info@starest.ee, info@kantri.ee with the following information: name(s), dates of arrival and departure, room type (single or double), reservation code „MMA2016“.

The trip from Tallinn to Tartu by bus or by train takes 2.5 – 3 hours and costs approximately 10 euros. Buses leave from Tallinn Central Bus Station approximately every 30 minutes (during 6.00-21.00, see http://www.tpilet.ee/en). Visa

Nationals of the member states of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) and any third-country national who is a holder of a residence permit of a Schengen state do not need a visa to enter Estonia (see http://www.vm.ee/en/taxonomy/term/41 ).

Registration and payment

The early registration fee (until April 15,2016) is 280 EUR, for graduate students 210 EUR and for accompanying persons 120 EUR. It covers the abstract volume, coffee breaks, welcome party, lunches, conference dinner, excursion and social program. The late registration fee (April 16 – May,15, 2016) is 350 EUR, for graduate students 260 EUR and for accompanying persons 140 EUR. This may be paid by bank transfer or at the conference registration desk in cash.

Deadlines

Registration and abstract submission: March 15, 2016.
Notification of acceptance: March 31, 2016.
