We would like to draw your attention to the ongoing call for papers for a topical collection in the special issue of »Journal of Mathematics in Industry« (Springer Nature):
»Mathematical Methods for Modelling and Simulation of Highly Flexible Slender Structures«
(Topical Collection related to the HFSS 2025 Conference)
The topical focus of the International Conference on Highly Flexible Slender Structures (HFSS) is on structural systems and their parts which are of slender shape and highly flexible, such that these parts display large (geometrically nonlinear) overall structural deformation already upon moderate loading. This topical collection collects primarily mathematical contributions presented at or related to the HFSS conference.
It primarily aims to bring together contributions presented at or inspired by the HFSS 2025 conference, but is also open to closely related work from the broader community.
Submission deadline: 30 June 2026
Here you can find further details and submission information.
We have already reached out to a number of potential contributors and are currently expecting several submissions. Additional high-quality contributions from the ECMI community would be very welcome, in particular from researchers working in areas aligned with the scope of the collection.
If you have ideas for a contribution suitable for the scope of the special issue, but find the timeline until June 30th too challenging, please get in touch with the guest editors to discuss possible options for submission.
