ECMI 2023 Conference Last Call for Minisymposia

The 22nd ECMI Conference on Industrial and Applied Mathematics will be held 26-30 June 2023 fully on-site at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology (Poland). Like for the last 40 years, it will be a great opportunity to exchange ideas at the frontier of contemporary mathematical modelling and its industrial applications.

The conference events will include Alan Tayler Memorial Lecture presented by Ron Kenett (Technion, Israel), minisymposia, contributed talks, and plenary lectures given by Ruth Baker, Dirk Hartmann, Uwe Iben, Irena Lasiecka, Henrik Madsen, Mathilde Mougeot, Claudia Schillings and Rafał Weron. The Anile-ECMI Prize for Mathematics in Industry and Hansjörg Wacker Memorial Prize will be given at the Award Ceremony after the opening of the conference.

On Thursday, 29 June, we are planning the Industry Day, during which industry representatives will talk about how they apply modern mathematical tools in their companies. The confirmed speakers come from KGHM (Polish company, a major copper and silver producer in the world, also the main sponsor of the conference), BNY Mellon and Nokia. At the end of this day we plan to organise an expert panel discussion on the future of industrial and applied mathematics.

The deadline for minisymposia proposals has been extended to 3rd April 2023 and the early bird registration ends on 14th April 2023. For more details, please go to the webpage http://ecmi2023.org/.

We hope to see you in Wrocław!
