ECMI Students Competition 2023

The European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI) and Girteka Logistics invite teams of students of Bachelor, Master or PhD levels in an ECMI member institution to the ECMI 2023 Student Competition. Each team should present their solution to a mathematical problem of social or economic importance.
Who can apply?
Teamwork is allowed with 1 up to 4 members per team. Students of Bachelor, Master degree or PhD level are eligible as team members. At least one of them should be enrolled in a study program of an ECMI member university.
Prize
The winning team will receive 1000 euro cash prize, sponsored by Girteka Logistics and will be invited to give a presentation during the ECMI Modelling Week 2023.
Problem: prediction models for European road freight prices and quantity dependencies
A decision-making model should be developed for delivery price and quantity delivered, in order to understand if transportation prices are fair and profitable compared to the quantities agreed.
