ECMI 2016 – Call for contributions

 

Call for Contributions of the 19th European Conference on Mathematics for Industry (ECMI 2016). 13-17th June, 2016, Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

 

It is a pleasure for us to invite you to participate in ECMI 2016. The periods of Registration and Submissions of Contributions are opened.

You are kindly invited to submit a contribution for ECMI 2016 in one of the following formats:

All the proposals must be submitted through the Online Conference Service (OCS) provided by Springer.

Call for Minysimposium Proposals

At ECMI 2016 there will be several parallel minisymposia. A minisymposium normally consists of 4-6 short talks (30-20 min.) connected with a specific subject. In order to submit a minisymposium proposal, please provide the following information:

  • Title
  • Organizer(s)
  • Affiliation and Contact Information of the Organizer(s)
  • Short description
  • Motivation/Relevance to ECMI
  • Confirmed speakers
  • Other proposed speakers
  • Industrial participation

The proposal can be written in a free format and must be submitted through the Online Conference Service (OCS) no later than 30th November 2015.

The notification of acceptance will be given as soon as possible and in any case no later than 20th January 2016.

The final selection of minisymposia will be based on scientific excellence, industrial relevance and quality of confirmed/proposed speakers.

Call for Contributed Talks and Posters

All the participants interested in giving an oral presentation or exhibiting a poster are invited to submit an abstract of maximum one page before 18th February 2016.

The templates can be found on the conference website and the abstract must be submitted through the Online Conference Service (OCS).

Authors will be notified whether their abstracts have been accepted or not as soon as possible, and in any case no later than 18th March 2016.

Publication of Proceedings

The Proceedings of ECMI 2016 will be published by Springer as part of the ECMI book subseries of Mathematics in Industry. To participate in this publication the authors will be invited to submit an extended paper after the conference.

The fifteen best extended full papers will be published in a special ECMI 2016 issue of the Springer Open Access Journal of Mathematics in Industry.

  • Decision on approval/rejection: 20th January 2016.
  • Deadline for accepted minisymposium abstracts: 18th February 2016.
  • Deadline for updating LaTeX files of the accepted abstracts and minisymposium descriptions: 8th May 2016.

Contributed Talks/Posters

  • Submissions open on: 15th September 2015.
  • Deadline for abstracts submission (contributed talks and posters): 18th February 2016.
  • Notification of decisions: 18th March 2016.
  • Deadline for updating LaTeX files of the accepted abstracts: 8th May 2016.

  • Early bird registration deadline: 15th April 2016.
  • Late registration deadline for paper-presenting participants: 8th May 2016.
  • Late registration deadline for non-paper-presenting participants: 1st June 2016.
