We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone for the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s program in Mathematical Modeling, Simulation, and Data Science (MATHS-DISC)! In less than a year since its official launch, the program has become fully operational. The first cohort of exceptional students has recently begun their studies at our esteemed European partner universities.

Supported by the European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry (ECMI) and EU-MATHS-IN, this EMJM program is a collaborative triumph dedicated to training the next generation of Ph.D. students and interdisciplinary professionals in cutting-edge applied mathematics.

A New Era of Learning Begins!

The journey for our inaugural cohort, comprised of talented students from around the globe, has officially begun. These future leaders in the mathematical sciences are now immersed in the curriculum, rotating through our esteemed network of universities.

and our partner, NTNU Trondheim (Norway), are the institutions that make up the MATHS-DISC consortium.

The MATHS-DISC program integrates traditional mathematical areasโ€”modeling, stochastics, numerical simulation, and optimizationโ€”with modern fields such as machine learning, digital twins, and quantum computing. This unique blend prepares students for the complex, data-driven challenges of modern industry and research.

Prepare to Join the Second Cohort: Applications open in December 2025.

The success of the launch phase has fueled our preparations for the next intake. We are thrilled to announce that the application process for the second cohort will open in December.

Prospective students interested in embarking on this transformative educational journey and beginning their studies in September or October of 2026 should start preparing their materials now. The next cohort will offer new opportunities for top students to secure highly competitive EMJM scholarships.
