Basque Center for Applied Mathematics – BCAM offers three Postdoctoral Fellowship position, one PhD position and one Reseach Tecnician position:

  • Postdoctoral Fellowship in Climate Change Data Science: In the framework of the IKUR Strategy. The “Applied Statistics” research line at the BCAM looks for candidates to work on Climate Change Data Science related projects including spatial downscaling, uncertainty quantification in climate data, climate projections and ensembles. The research will be carried out in collaboration with BC3 (Basque Center for Climate Change) and other institutions in the Basque Country. Deadline for applications: 30th June 2022, Thursday
  • Postdoctoral Fellowship in COVID-19 prognosis: The postdoctoral researcher will work on the research project “Early prognosis of COVID-19 infections via machine learning” funded by AXA Research Fund to work in Machine Learning for COVID-19 prognosis. Deadline for applications: 30th June 2022, Thursday
  • Postdoctoral Fellowship in Machine Learning for Energy Forecasting: This work is framed in IA4TES – Inteligencia Artifical para la Transición Energética Sostenible project. This offer, in particular, is to work in Machine Learning group at Basque Center for Applied Mathematics – BCAM, where Machine Learning for energy forecasting will be worked. Deadline for applications: 30th June 2022, Thursday
  • Research Technian in Minimax Risk Classifiers: BCAM offers a Research Technician position in Minimax Risk Classifiers to work in Supervised learning by robust risk minimization. Statistical learning techniques that minimize the worst-case expected loss.   • PhD Position for H2020 Project ASTROTECH: The ASTROTECH Consortium aims at pioneering the field of “Glial Engineering,” to develop a consistent range of tools to record, study, and manipulate astrocytes in the healthy and diseased brain.
