Moving boundary problems in Mechanics
Moving boundary problems have played a prominent role in the rise of Industrial Mathematics.
The conference Recent Advances in Moving Boundary Problems in Mechanics will take place from Feb 5-8 2018 in Christchurch, New Zealand. There will be a wide range of practical topics under discussion, including fluid-structure interaction, free surface flows, flows over soft tissues and textiles, flows involving accretion/erosion, flows through deformable porous media, material forming and shape optimisation.
The meeting is part of the IUTAM series and will be organised primarily by the University of Canterbury.
