Improved Fiber Distribution Increases Thermal Insulation – Project »Oho«: Optimization of Wood-Fiber Based Insulation Materials

Kaiserslautern. Improved Fiber Distribution Increases Thermal Insulation

Together with four partners, our researchers at the Fraunhofer ITWM are investigating the effects of fibre distribution in wood-based insulation materials in the project »Oho: Optimization of Wood-Fibre Based Insulation Materials« with the aim of improving thermal insulation. The aim is to achieve a thermal conductivity of less than 35 W/K. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
