Spring School: From Particle Dynamics to Gradient Flows 2018, TU Kaiserslautern

Dear Colleagues,
we would like you to pay attention to the spring school
“From Particle Dynamics to Gradient Flows 2018”
taking place from March 19 to March 23, 2018 at TU Kaiserslautern.
Particle Dynamics and their scaling limits are a subject of intensive research.
The spring school aims to PhD students and young post-docs from the fields of probability and partial differential equations. The goal is to learn and combine methods from both areas.
During the spring school there will be the following short courses:
- Massimo Fornasier (Technische Universität München), “Multi-agent system learning and control”
- Christiane Helzel (Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf), “A third order accurate wave propagation algorithm for hyperbolic problems”
- Jan-Frederik Pietschmann (WWU Münster/Universität Osnabrück), “Analysis of cross-diffusion equations using entropy methods”
- Michael Winkler (Universität Paderborn), “Energy-based blow-up detection in dissipative evolution systems”
Please advertise this school to anyone you think might benefit from participating. Participants will be given the opportunity to present a poster.
