The Computational Biology network at the University of Coimbra is pleased to announce that the 7th edition of the Summer School in Computational Biology – from molecules to tissues will take place in Coimbra (Portugal), in September 3 – 13, 2024.
This is an intensive introductory course targeted to students from the M. Sc. to post-doctoral levels, with either biological or exact sciences backgrounds, who wish to acquire skills in Computational Biology. Applications from B. Sc. students with outstanding CVs/skills will also be considered. It will have four components:
- Introductory lectures (parallel tracks A: mathematics and physics for biologists, B: biology for exact sciences student),
- Courses on specialized Computational Biology topics ranging from the molecular level to integrated physiological systems,
- Seminars on cutting-edge developments by World-leading scientists in their fields,
- Mini-research-projects where the students will have the opportunity to apply the acquired skills to real research problems.
Illustrative applications will emphasize biomedical problems.
In order to apply, please fill in this application form (https://forms.gle/GETVGF64hCgg88jr6) no later than May 31.
The registration fee for the selected candidates is 100€, to be paid after acceptance (announced by June 6) and no later than June 30.
