The 141st European Study Group with Industry, ESGI141, University College Dublin

ESGI141 is a week-long workshop that provides a forum for industrial scientists to work alongside academics on a project submitted by the industrial participant. ESGI’s started with the first Study Group in Oxford in 1968 and now there are 5-7 meetings each year across Europe. A study group can accommodate 4 industrial projects, which are tackled by 40-80 academics ranging from PhD students to Professors.

Who can participate within the study group?

This is open to all academic staff and researchers, research assistants, and postgraduate students working within the mathematical and statistical sciences. Participants are free to choose which projects they would like to work on. Some people like to work intensively on one project, others prefer to contribute to a number of projects.

Is there a charge to take part?

There is no charge to take part. Lunch and dinner will be provided for all participants throughout the week. We have a limited amount of free full-board accommodation for participants outside Dublin. Travel expenses must be paid for by the participants.
