DESCRIPTION:The Summer School ExTRAInt – Explainable\, Trustworthy and Robust Artificial Intelligence will take place from September 8  to September 11\, 2025 in Como – Villa del Grumello. \nArtificial Intelligence (AI) systems are increasingly used to make consequential decisions in a wide range of domains\, including banking\, healthcare\, transportation and beyond. The need to understand AI to improve\, contest\, develop appropriate trust\, and better interact with AI systems has spurred great academic and public interest in Explainable AI (XAI). The technical field of XAI has produced a vast collection of algorithms in recent years. As a result\, several methods and tools have been developed to explain the decisions of these systems\, with the aim to deliver XAI solutions suitable for a human-centred world. SUMMARY:International Conference on Highly Flexible Slender Structures 2025
DESCRIPTION:Fraunhofer ITWM is organizing the second conference on Highly Flexible Slender Structures (HFSS) in September 2025. This event will focus on systems of flexible structures that are both subjected to high deformations and characterized by a slender geometry. In particular\, the focus will be on nonlinear beam and shell models. \nThe aim of the conference is to address researchers from different disciplines dealing with mechanical modeling\, mathematical formulations and numerical methods for highly flexible\, slender structures. The range of topics includes contact mechanics\, non-smooth dynamics\, computational geometry\, geometric numerical integration as well as the development of open-source simulation software for such structures and industrial applications of corresponding simulation software. \nThe highlight of the conference will be a series of keynote speeches by internationally renowned scientists as well as ten thematically organized mini-symposia with subject-specific presentations. \nannouncement of an important event: The International Conference on Highly Flexible Slender Structures (HFSS) 2025.\nJoin us at the Event!
